With Wix Harmony, you have two ways to start your site, depending on how you like to work. You can begin by chatting with Aria, Wix’s AI assistant, and have your site structure, layout, and content generated for you without choosing a template at all.

If you prefer to start visually, you can also select a designer-made template. To build within the Harmony flow, the template must be labelled as a Wix Harmony template. These templates are designed to work seamlessly with Aria and allow you to move freely between AI assistance and manual editing.

Both options place you in the same Harmony environment, giving you full flexibility to shape and refine your site as you go.

Aria can generate a complete website foundation in just minutes. By answering a few questions about your business, goals, and style, you get a fully structured site to work from right away.

From there, Wix Harmony lets you continue building at your own pace. You can refine layouts, adjust design details, or ask Aria to add new sections whenever you need them. Whether you publish quickly or take time to iterate, Harmony supports gradual builds and ongoing improvements without pressure or rework.

Yes. Full customization is the core advantage of Aria and Wix Harmony. Nothing Aria creates is locked in. Every section, layout, and design element can be adjusted using Wix's drag-and-drop editor, down to precise visual details.

Harmony also lets you modify only the parts you choose. When you ask Aria to update content or generate a new section, those changes remain contained, without affecting the rest of your site. This gives you the freedom to experiment, refine, and evolve your design while keeping everything else exactly as it is.

Creating a website with Wix starts can start with a free or paid plan. From there, you can choose how you want to build. With Wix Harmony, you can begin by chatting with Aria, Wix’s AI, to generate a personalized site foundation in minutes, or start from a designer-made template. (If the template is denoted as working with Wix Harmony, you can enter that flow, otherwise you’ll have to use Wix’s drag-and-drop editor to customize the template to your liking.) Both options place you in the same build environment, where AI generation and hands-on editing work together.

As you build, you can refine layouts, add sections, update content, and adjust design details at your own pace using the Wix editor. Hosting, security, and updates are handled automatically by the Wix platform, so you can focus on shaping your site. You can publish your site for free with a Wix URL, then upgrade later if you want to connect a custom domain, enable payments, or unlock advanced business features.

You can also create and manage your site from your phone using the Wix mobile app, making it possible to build, edit, and publish wherever you are.

After purchasing or upgrading to a paid Wix plan, you can connect a custom domain through your Wix dashboard. When you select "Connect an existing domain", Wix will open your Webnames.ca dashboard in a new tab to complete the connection.

From there, you'll see a dropdown list of the domains you already own. Choose the domain you want to connect and click Apply. The connection is handled automatically, with no need to manage DNS records or make any manual changes. Once confirmed, your domain is linked to your website within the Webnames portal.

When you return to your Wix dashboard and click Set up, the Connect a custom domain step will show a green checkmark. Opening that step will display which domain is connected to your site. If your domain is registered elsewhere, you'll also see an option to connect an external domain during the process.
